Mankind...the
Masterpiece of God's Creation
Below is an illustration
depicting God's creation of Adam from the paintings in the
Sistine Chapel in Rome. They were created by Michelangelo
between 1508 and 1512, and are still today considered among the
greatest works of art of all time. But even his masterpiece
pales in comparison to God's masterpiece: YOU!
Perhaps you don't see yourself
as a great work of art. But wait! God isn't finished with you
yet! After all, it took Michelangelo 5 years to create his
paintings in the Sistine Chapel. And, as we all know, even Rome
wasn't built in one day! God is the Master Painter; we are His
workmanship (Ephesians 2:10). We can be sure that "He who
began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until
the day of Christ Jesus" (Philippians 1:6).
But maybe your colors have
become a bit faded. Or perhaps there are parts of your canvas
where God hasn't even started painting yet. We have just the
thing for you! Take five or six months to come to Italy, and
place yourself before the Master Painter. Let Him paint your
life with His character as He takes you one step closer to
becoming the masterpiece He has created you to be!
First, let God paint some broad background strokes into your
life as you participate in our Discipleship Training School.
Afterwards you can let Him paint in some of the finer details as
you continue with a School of Biblical Studies or Biblical
Counseling.
